NTR Memorial Trust Blood Bank is the first NGO-run blood bank in the country to get the accreditation of the National Accreditation Board for Hospital and Healthcare Providers (NABH). NABH is a constituent board of the Quality Council of India. It evaluates quality parameters, collection and processing of blood and the qualification of the staff employed by the Blood Bank.

The blood bank provides blood free of cost to the poor and collects a nominal fee from others. Of the total blood provided by the bank so far, 30 per cent has been supplied to cancer and thalassemia patients. The blood bank has been serving 30,000 patients.

The blood supplied by the Blood Bank is known to meet exacting global quality standards. Such standards have been maintained by using latest equipment and quality inputs. The state-of-the-art Blood Bank, which is managed by qualified professionals, has facilities to separate blood components and store them to retain the purity for future use.
